Life at HDI is simple, we hunt for opportunities to stretch our design muscles. We believe design revolves around a story or theme. Whether a theme park Candy store or the subtle Contemporary Coastal theme of a seaside resort and spa, we thrive on designing to a story.  All 'shows' start with a concept – the big idea. The first steps are to identify, understand and develop this story into a visual, tangible product or environment. Some are birthed and some are shelved until further funding, but this first step in the design process is HDI's favorite, the 'Concept'.

HDI provides a various assortment of conceptual work from exterior architectural design to interior design to graphics, logos and signage. 

Concepts for residential housing apartments, high-rises, theme park buildings and ride themeing to conceptual interiors for resorts, spas, restaurants, retail stores, theme park shows and even museum exhibits have been a staple of work at HDI over the past 28 years and counting.
